Changes to Our Microsoft Office 365 Admin AccessMicrosoft has been transitioning from the old Delegated Admin Privileges (DAP) system to a new, more secure model called Granular Delegated Admin Privileges (GDAP). Because of this, there’s been an important update to how we manage our administrative access to your Microsoft Office 365 account.

What is GDAP?
GDAP is a more secure and precise way for CTComp to access only the specific parts of your Microsoft environment that we need to support you. It gives you more control and visibility over our access permissions.

What’s changing?
We’ll be setting up new GDAP relationships to replace our existing admin access. This process will:

  1. Enhance security by limiting our access to only what’s necessary
  2. Provide more transparency about our permissions
  3. Set time limits on our access, requiring regular renewal

What you need to know:

  • You may receive emails from Microsoft about expiring and newly accepted admin relationships. You can safely ignore these.
  • We’ll handle all the technical aspects of this transition.
  • There will be no interruption to your services or our support.

Next steps:
You don’t need to take any action. We’ll manage this transition behind the scenes to ensure the continued smooth operation of your services.
